Which file formats can be imported/exported as standard?

The ema Work Designer has interfaces to external programs. 

The following file types are processed by emaWD:
  1. License files (*.lic)
  2. Project files (*.ema)
  3. Excel files (*.xlsx)
  4. Geometry files
The following file formats are possible for importing geometry files:
  1. Collada (*.dae)
  2. JT files (*.jt)
  3. Wavefront (*.obj)
  4. VRML (*.wrl)
  5. Drawing Interchange Format files (*.dxf)
  6. STL files (*.stl)
  7. ema library files (*.emalib)
  8. Image formats (*.jpg, *.tga, *.png)
  9. 3D point clouds (*.las)
Depending on the additional licenses you use, other 3D file formats may also be available for import and export for your installation. An overview of all additional
available file formats can be found here.

InfoCollada is the standard format for geometry data in emaWD. This means that all data that is to be used in emaWD must be provided or converted accordingly.

When using JT data, pay attention to the file version. Compatibility with versions 8.x, 9.x and 10.5 can currently be ensured.

The emalib format is an internal emaWD file format.

When loading an image file, a geometric primitive image is generated on the basis of a cuboid and textured with the image file.
